#OOTD Easter 2016

I don't know about you, but I have two times each year when I expect to have a new outfit: New Year's Eve and Easter. And while my closet is bursting at the seams, I still perk up at the idea of getting something new.

Lately, I've been sewing more, which is the nice side effect of writing the Material Witness mysteries, spending time with my mom in Pennsylvania, and getting caught up on old episodes of Project Runway. (I gave up cable a couple of years ago and this remains the number one show that I miss.) So when I realized Easter was right around the corner, I looked at the stack of fabric that I purchased while visiting with my mom, and I thought, why not make something instead of buying something? So I did. And since I bought about 10 yards each of the turquoise and the pink gingham, I full expect there to be additional pieces in what will become my 2016 spring/summer capsule collection.
